Part 2: God and Demons
The Lord is watching everywhere,
keeping his eye on both the evil and the good.
Part Overview
- Content: Reference Material
- Synopsis: Explanation of the power dynamics between God and demons, what Satan is allowed to do in the world, and the nature of demons.
- Themes:
- God is in control. As the sovereign deity over all creation, God acts as the ultimate authority in what a demon can and cannot do. Demons do not have free reign to do whatever they please, especially when it affects human beings.
- Satan is a corrupting influence. This powerful fallen angel spends his days attempting to drive a wedge between God and humanity. There are no redeeming qualities in his personal character.
- Demons oppose God. Much like their leader Satan, demons have no redeeming qualities. They are the “hands and feet” of Satan who cannot be everywhere at once. While these fallen angels are organized against God, they must still answer to Him.
